The award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate a commitment to education or youth development and is considered a highly prestigious education award in
Lola Salazar began her career as a teacher at Pennington Elementary in Wheat Ridge and has been a lifelong advocate for education. Rob Salazar, a past recipient of an LAEF scholarship, is a real estate entrepreneur (see www.centralstreetinvestors.com) whose projects include the first student housing community for Auraria Higher Education Center in Denver.
Since 1999 when the Salazars launched their family foundation, their efforts have made a positive impact on hundreds of Colorado children.
